PAST IRIDESCENCE

Frailty, thy name is Standing Woman I

Melting under the copper morning sun

Thinning of a bronze sculptured female

Beaten, pounded, dumbed by frozen hale

Limbs nearly flailing in the silvery wind

A grueling tale not said, unspinned

Quiet to the world and all its grief

Voice stolen by a forged Hephaestus thief

If this be my future, this metaled mound

That is succumbing to gravity, pancaking to ground,

Then I choose to live it and meet this fate

Foreshadowing tall woman a distant date

She unloved- a sulking ostracized demeanor

Forgotten by meal.  Be any leaner?

Widowed face plain before a plane

Near disgrace, smile beyond wane

Shaven head, naked to the bone

A bronze figure for which the sun now shone

This woman, the paradigm of Adam-Atom fears

An eternal curse, welding shedded tears.

Say goodbye, Old Woman, to your whole life span

Pump your breath if you must, if you still can

One final word before the Trees forever-dispute

I pay homage to thee, Unmoving Bronze Tribute!
