The History of Bradley Schneider
This is intended for people who want to know a lot about Bradley Schneider, so only read this if you have a bunch of time.

THE EARLY YEARS
Bradley Schneider was born in Houston, Texas in 1982. Living in a suburban neighborhood of Katy, Bradley showed an interest and skill in many things. 9 years of soccer, 5 years of roller hockey, 1 year of baseball, quick legs, and a red bike occupied Brad's physical energy. In his downtime, Bradley built pirate ships out of legos, shot at GI Joes with his Exosquad e-frames, drew all kinds of doodles, and kicked the living crap out of any video game. Little did he know that his prowess in video gaming would later take him on to greater heights (kicking the living crap out of people over the internet). With one set of grandparents in the city, Bradley frequently went out on the town to watch movies and play skeeball courtesy of Grama. In elementary school, his father and grandpa started a small hydraulics company, Accumulators, Inc. The youngest employee there, Bradley made the big bucks ($1.50) sharpening pancils and shredding paper every now and then. The first memorable theatrical appearance was 4th grade, where Bradley played Mozart in a mock wax sculpture museum. It was funny, trust me. Elementary eventually went bye bye, and the dreaded junior high came. 6th graders have to be the cruelest people out there, outside of religious fundamentalists. However, 6th grade wasn't all bad. For one thing, Bradley got his first real kiss in 6th grade, something which started a trend of making many women happy for years. I don't want to say that he's God's gift to women, so let's just hear from one of Brad's ex-girlfriends...

"He is the best thing to happen to me since... well... ever." -Brad's ex-girlfriend

JUNIOR HIGH... ugh
See, I told you. ANYWAY, 6th grade was another first for Bradley - a part in a play that was actually on stage. Playing Lucius in Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar," Bradley really didn't impress anyone. Well, it was 6th grade. The next year, Bradley took a starring role in "Cinderella Wore Combat Boots" as The King. Though a bit hammy, Bradley truly put energy and characterization into the part, something which few others did in that show. I'm not bragging over him, it's just that you could easily tell who was actually putting some thought into it. The only after-school activity Bradley was involved in during junior high was band, where he played percussion (drums). He wasn't the best, but he could hold his own pretty well. He also took a bit of guitar and piano. Much of his non-school related time was devoted to the Boy Scouts. Going from little peon to a respected and well-achieved member of the troop, Bradley advanced quickly within the ranks. Whether his desire for accomplishments or the cool-looking patches, Bradley held many leadership positions and eventually became one of the troop's youngest Eagle Scouts ever at the age of 15. That and Bradley's Bar Mitzvah at age 13 rank among his greatest accomplishments. While Boy Scouts greatly changed his personality for the better, summer camp truly molded him into a person with strong relationships and friendships. Going to Greene Family Camp in Bruceville-Eddy Texas for a month every summer for 4 summers, Bradley forged some strong friendships that still continue. Though he hasn't seen many of them in quite a number of years, he still communicates with a handful regularly. But growing up that way was difficult on Bradley's emotions. Getting to see those friends once a year was hard, but even more difficult was when his best friends in Katy had to move away. In fact, Bradley has had best friends move to such locales as Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, North Carloina, Iowa, Alaska, Maine, England, Angola, South Africa, and a bunch of other places he can't remember right now. Back to camp - during those summer camps, Bradley would always take part in the drama productions and talent shows. During the talent shows, he played drums in a small band (which was always the best show of the show). In the drama productions, he wrote and acted in two one-hour long variety shows and one one-hour long play. His fourth year, Bradley acted as assistant director. During those productions, he began to realize that he truly enjoyed acting, or even more accurately - entertaining. As a troop leader, Bradley would entertain his Boy Scout troop with songs, games, and yelling very loudly (with his diaphragm of course).

HIGH SCHOOL
On to High School. Taylor High School was one of those schools that failure doesn't exist. Let me clarify - during Bradley's years at Taylor, the school won somewhere around 30 state championships in sports and academics. It won the National Academic Decathlon 3 times (once with his brother on the team). Tennis and Baseball clearly didn't struggle from lack of talent. The band was top-notch. Average SAT score was well above 1000. In fact, two of Bradley's classmates got 1600's. One of them got the 1600 in 7th grade! Out of 20 years of competition, Rachel Mattox (the theatre teacher - RAM for short) won two state championships. Suffice it to say, this school was one of the best and toughest in the country. On day 2 of High School, Bradley approached RAM about participating in the shows. First working on sets, Bradley soon got a role in A PIECE OF MY HEART, playing a plethora of male roles. Though he had much improved, Bradley's hammy ways were still there. After getting his first serious girlfriend, Erin, and earning his Eagle Scout, as well as progressing further in puberty, Bradley matured a great deal his following year. In 10th grade, Bradley did all kinds of technical work. He even landed a role in GUYS & DOLLS as Harry the Horse. Some more shows came and went, and Bradley took on some serious positions like Program Editor (creating the program), and Advertising Manager (selling $1260 worth of ad space, a department record by far). The next major role was just that - a lead role as Cornelius in THE MATCHMAKER. Out of an acting gig for a semester, RAM encouraged Bradley to audition for THE MATCHMAKER at the Houston Country Playhouse. Blown away by Bradley's energy and side-splitting comedic timing during his audition, the director called up Bradley to tell him the good news later that night. With 450 lines to learn and complicated blocking, it was quite an uphill battle for someone who never had a role even remotely close to that one. Though he wasn't quite an amazing actor, Bradley did crack up the audience every night with his timing, energy, and portrayal of the character. RAM was impressed with his progress, and she gave him a supporting role in the following semester's MOON OVER BUFFALO as Richard. Bradley did other things too in theatre. He wrote two mediocre scripts, which taught him quite a bit about writing. Also, he competed at the state and national levels twice in Solo Pantomime, making audiences laugh at his non-speaking tales set to music. He also attended the Duke University Drama Workshop, where he wrote played various roles in a variety show. Then Bradley tried his hand at directing. Though it wasn't what he wanted to do in life, Bradley learned quite a lot about acting through his own direction of other actors. Bradley took a mediocre script and mediocre actors and turned it into an enjoyable show.

Bradley's final semester in high school was a huge turning point in his life. In January, Bradley's Grandpa Murry died. Since he was Bradley's role model and closest relative, losing him changed Bradley's life and left Grama alone in Georgetown. Shortly after that, Bradley was cast in the UIL One Act Play show. Starring as Talthybius in TROJAN WOMEN, Bradley had to command an emotionally conflicted character strongly and exert physical strength as well. That role was the first one that Bradley feels he did a good acting job. Though he still had much to improve upon, Bradley's portrayal of Talthybius landed him a Best Actor award, three Honorable Mention All-Star Cast awards, and a trip to Regional competition (which the department hadn't been to in years). Skipping prom to put on makeup and play a Greek commander made a lot more sense when Bradley was accepted into the theatre department at the University of Texas. After high school graduation, Bradley took a cruise in the Mediterranean with his family. While on the ship, he met Chase, an actress who was also going into theatre at the University of Texas. Odd.

THE EYES OF TEXAS
So summer orientation came. As he was pulling up to sign in, guess who was walking in front of the car. No, not him. No, not that person either. Yes! It was Chase. So the very first person Bradley saw in college was the last person he had met. Odd. So she was walking with her freind Zach Freeman, a fellow actor. He and Bradley bunked up in Jester during orientation as roommates. Not horribly significant, just felt like saying. School started. Life changed all in the same week. College was life-changing. Windows XP was different. Then September 11 came. 9/11/01 was one of those days that you will never erase from your memory. It sure didn't make Bradley feel good that he was at the largest population university in the US living in the largest dorm in the world at the same school the president's daughter attended. Then the acting roles started "rolling" in. Since school productions are cast the semester preceding, freshmen have no chance of getting cast in a main stage role their first semester. But, an exception was made when they needed a couple extra roles filled. So, Bradley auditioned with a group of other people (actually he was invited to the audition by the professor that gave him the Best Actor award as a judge in UIL One Act Play contest the previous semester) and got an ensemble part in ONCE IN A LIFETIME. He had several parts and even a few lines. Then he auditioned and was cast in a film, starring as Art Bean in Art Ubiquidous. Then he was cast as John in SUMMER IN SMOKE (class production). Then he starred in THE STONEWATER RAPTURE as Whitney. Then he was in Darkness and Dreams.

Then life changed again as Bradley got his second serious girlfriend, Natalie. Though they lived two hours away, they saw each other quite often. That lasted for about 8 months. In addition to that, Bradley also landed a huge job - writing for a major newspaper. After ONCE IN A LIFETIME, he replied to an article written about the show by the local city newspaper theatre critic. The critic liked the letter Bradley wrote him, and in turn gave him a freelance writer position for the Austin American-Statesman as a theatre critic. Nothing beats getting paid to go out to the theatre. The second semester of college, Bradley got a role as Narrator in the first-ever English Opera version of ANTIGONE. That was fun. The show was only 45 minutes long, so some days he would be home by 8pm. Odd. Before leaving for the summer, he did two very big things. One, he auditioned and got an on-screen role in EA Sports 2003 NCAA Football video game. They took video footage of Bradley saying "EA Sports: Get in the game!" and put it on the opening section of the game. The second big thing - an international play festival. Professor/Director Michael Bloom and actors Luc, Karie, and Bradley travelled to Arezzo, Italy to compete in a play festival with other university theatre departments from around the world. Bradley played David Attenborough in David Ives' TIMe FLIES. And yes, they won the competition. The interesting part - half the room was filled with Italian patrons who had no idea what we were saying and yet clearly understood the high-brow humor. The summer included his first waitering job, a skill that would come in handy in his future career as an actor. Bradley was a good waiter working in a crappy place. The following semester he did a lot of scene work for student directors, got a couple new girlfriends, and lost some wisdom teeth. His fourth semester at school, Bradley was cast in yet another main stage show, playing Ferapont in THE THREE SISTERS. This time, the show was primarily with graduate students, so the acting ability far surpassed that of an undergrad show. Working with such talent helped Bradley in his ability to be real. Some thought Bradley looked like Fidel Castro in the costume and make-up. Either way, everyone thought he played the part well. Many students told their graduate student teachers that Bradley was their favorite character. That made him feel special. But the best compliment came when his Grama saw the show. She was watching and suddenly heard Bradley's character name, connecting him to the person on stage. She leaned over to her friend and said, "THAT'S BRADLEY?!?"

Later that semester Bradley did some voiceover work for a Japanese Anime English-dubbing studio. He did several voices for episodes of STEAM DETECTIVES and FINAL FANTASY UNLIMITED. That year Bradley also took some classes in film acting, voiceovers, auditioning for film and commercial, and Shakepearean acting. That summer he grew a beard and working as a child photographer for The Picture People. Bradley loves children, but some of those two year olds...

The 5th semester at college Bradley starred in three films: MILLENIUM APPROACHES, FILM PSYCHOSIS and HARD TIMES. He also saw a bunch of plays, went to a handful of football games, and starred in a ton of student-directed scenes. One scene they only had like 3 rehearsals total, and the other actress and he did a damn good job for little to know direction. The other directors were much more responsible, and Bradley had to juggle rehearsals for 4 different directors. Towards the end of the semester, Bradley played King Louis XIV in Susan Zeder's main stage adaptation of L'AAVARE: THE MISER. With a costume that cost more than the budget of some main stage shows, Bradley wowed audiences with his Louis. Though he spoke very little, Bradley could be seen the entire show (sitting in the front like an audience member). Upon entering, he would walk on stage with the royal thought that everyone was there to see him, as his character would. One show Bradley s parents, Grama, brother, and roommates came to see him. When he walked out, Bradley gave them a look like, "hello my loyal subjects." They couldn't believe their eyes. Bradley got a lot of good reviews for that show too:

"Brad, my students today were saying that one of the funniest, if not the funniest moment in the show, is when the King laughs. It has been a pleasure working with you - and especially dancing with you. How sad that this may be our last show for a while. I wish you the best of luck. Much love, Elena." November 22, 2003

His last semester at college (yes, Bradley graduated in 3 years) was filled with a lot of free time. He was only taking 12 hours, and he had little to do out of class for those courses. So Bradley spent a whole lot of his time watching college sports. Growing up he never really cared about sports, but the invigorating mentality of college sports really gave him something to cheer for. Bradley must have gone to about 15 women's bball games, 10 men's bball games, 5 baseball games, 10 softball games, 2 hockey games, and 1 women's tennis game. He even met a new girlfriend through the spirit organization he joined - Texas Paints. Bradley's mom said he made an "S" out of himself. Other than constant sport watching, Bradley also took a fun role in the student-directed full length show, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, playing a cross between Borachio and Conradt. He had a really great monologue in the show where he revealed the plot, completely drunk. He didn't overplay it, and everyone cracked up. That was a fun part.

GRADUATION
Graduation came and went. Bradley spent the summer chillin in the Texas heat with his buddy Ivan and his girlfriend Kelsey. In August, Bradley moved back in with the rents to build up some cash. He worked for his dad, doing all kinds of administrative, computer, secretarial, and finance work. With new girlfriend Jamie and his best friend Andrew, He spent most of his time going to Astros games. If you ever want to hear a better story than the Red Sox winning the World Series, hear the story about the Astros going from bottom of the heap to legitimate Series contender. Bradley also got Halo2. 'Nough said.

In November, his brother got married. Shortly after, Bradley drove to Los Angeles with his dad to start his career as an actor. On January 1st, 2005, Bradley went to the Rose Bowl for the 38-37 Texas victory over Michigan. What an amazing game!

HOLLYWOOD BOUND
After the torrential rain finally stopped, Bradley took his headshots with Seth Meier at Burnside Productions. Shortly thereafter, Bradley finally got his website up and running...
