Icy exterior

Rocky iceberg shell frozen in time

Immobile currents, placid skies

Gray darkness fading shadow

A shadow that becomes smothering despite

Painful avalanche clinging on to mountainside

Howling wind of stillness

Swirling blizzard damming up the flood

Pounding sincerity skating over sheets

Compacted snow engulfing wolfpacks

Crystalline torture

 

Fiery interior

Lava drenching through the savannah

Entropy of flame and smoke

Orange brilliance glowing the day away

A day that disappears despite

Throbbing volcano smoldering inside

Crackling rage of serenity

Congealing sandstorm blinding the embers

Sparkling passion pressing over pyres

Atomic explosion extinguished

Napalmed pleasure

 

Cauldron

Melting pot

Brewing basket

Cold Summer and Hot Winter

Burning cubes of solid vapor

Freezing fire of tranquility

Frozen statue

And yet,

Bursting with potential
